Notes
461- "Are we done here, Gary?" (Conclude.)
- "Because they're not really human, right?"
- The lieutenant gives you a quick glance. Then, still looking straight ahead, he joins you with a higher-pitched and slightly more melodic trill.
- "Thank you for sharing this wonderful opinion on human sexuality." He pretends to read the economics book open on the table.
- The lieutenant gives you a sharp look. He's bailed you out, again, but he's none too pleased about it.
- "Sounds like the victim was unconscious. Or at least incapacitated. Well done, detective." He nods to you.
- "Good god, detective. One more stunt like that and they'll have you institutionalized."
- The lieutenant nods to you. "That lines up with previous testimony, doesn't it? Well done, detective."
- "A bunch of what, detective?"
- "That is unhygienic. And dangerous. And it does not endear you to me -- just wanted to make that clear, okay?"
- "He said I'm his 'pig hooker' or something, whatever that is."
- "I guess I got my answer." The lieutenant gives you his usual firm stare.
- "You're making it worse, officer," the lieutenant says quietly. His eyes never leave the woman's face.
- "Thank you." He pockets the drugs. "I'm doing this to help you. We need to focus on the case."
- "Suit yourself, but I need to decompress first." (Turn to leave.)
- "You were making prank calls." Not a muscle moves in the lieutenant's face.
- "Big deal?!" Not a muscle moves in the lieutenant's face.
- "Don't trust me -- trust the Mother. I'm only the messenger, homes." His voice echoes in the cold air of the church.
