Superstar Cop

Of course I do. It's... uhm... is it some kind of superstar? I think I'm a superstar.

You should check yourself for a pulse, superstar. From here it looks like a cadaverous spasm.

"That's so me. What did I do?"

"'Officer' is my stage name, right? I can see myself as a middling disco artist called 'The Officer.'"

"Superstar Cop. I can no longer deny it."

"You're making this up. I would never behave like that."

"Martinaise is very lucky. Only one in a thousand cops wakes up as the Superstar Cop."

"No. That's not me anymore. I am a Superstar Cop now."

"Disco Infernum."

"Hear that, Kim? I am a huge deal around here."

"Don't get me wrong, but 'bare-bones' isn't usually my style." (Point at yourself.)

"Guy was cramping my style. Every superstar goes solo in the end."

"That's for me to know, and you to find out." (Wink at her.)

"Absolutely. Superstars always get back up and try again."

"You didn't appreciate my moves?"

"I know, I know -- stunning, right?"

"Lose these bad boys? No way."

This goes well with a theory I'm developing: that I'm a down-on-my-luck superstar person.
